Help Shape the Future of Social Housing – TIS Wants to Hear From You
Are you aged 60 or over, from an ethnic minority background, and living in social housing in Scotland?
If so, your voice matters — and the Tenants Information Service (TIS) would love to hear from you.
TIS is working with the Scottish Government on an important research study to understand how people from different ethnic backgrounds take part in shaping the housing services they use — and what can be done to make this easier and more inclusive.
Why your voice is important
Everyone deserves the chance to have a say about their home and community — but we know that not everyone gets the same opportunities to get involved. This research will explore the challenges some tenants face and how landlords and services can do more to listen, understand, and act on what matters to you.
The findings will help shape national recommendations and improve how tenant participation works across Scotland’s social housing sector — especially for those whose voices are not always heard.
What’s involved
TIS wants to hear from tenants like you — people with lived experience who can offer real insight into what works and what needs to change. You can take part in a way that suits you, and your feedback will directly influence how services are designed in the future.
Whether you’ve been involved in tenant groups before or not, your experience matters.

Please note: "Ethnic minority" includes all ethnic groups other than White British – including, for example, Black, Asian, Gypsy, Roma, Irish Traveller, and other White minority groups.
