Find a Home

We offer a range of housing options designed for people aged 50 and over across Scotland.  If you are under 50, it is unlikely you will be housed within our properties.

We have homes available for rent and on a shared ownership basis.  You can find more information about our different types of housing and services here.  Information about specific developments can be found here

Applying

You can apply for housing online, via our customer portal, My Bield.  Applying via My Bield is the quickest way to register your interest in our properties.  The straightforward process ensures your application reaches our system immediately.  Once submitted, your form will be checked by our staff and any required follow up action will be taken timeously.  For additional information on My Bield, visit the My Bield section of this website.  Helpful videos that will guide you through the application process are available on our YouTube channel.  Please note that the application form may take a few minutes to load, and it may appear that nothing is happening whilst the form loads.  We appreciate your patience with this step in the process.

We understand that digital forms are not for everyone.  If you prefer, you can download our application form below.  You can also request a paper application form by calling our Customer Contact Centre on 03000 132 162

Our helpful guide to completing our application form can be found below, together with our development brochure.  If you are applying online and would like to be considered for our Charleston development in Dundee, please refer to Page 4 of our development brochure, or the My Bield – Application Verification Documents video.

Please note, customers with an existing application DO NOT need to complete a new application form on My Bield.  Details of the existing application will be visible when you log in to your My Bield account.  If this is not the case, please email customerportal@bield.co.uk for assistance.

In most of our developments, we have significantly more 1 bedroom/studio properties than 2 bedrooms.  Please bear this in mind when considering your choices.  In some cases, where applicants choose only 2 bedrooms and are unlikely to receive an offer due to a limited number of properties, we may add 1 bedroom and/or studio as a need to the application to maximise your chances of receiving an offer.

Please note that, once your application is live on our system, outside of the annual review, we will typically only get in touch with you if a suitable property becomes available.  If you are in urgent housing need, you should contact your local council to discuss a potential homeless application.

We acknowledge the systemic and historical discrimination and prejudice experienced by individuals with protected characteristics.  We openly welcome applications from all backgrounds, including members of LGBT+ communities, individuals from BAME communities, and those for whom English is not their first language.
